GGP Group Headquarters

In 1962 the garden equipment business starts: Castelgarden which is part of M.A.C. Spa manufactures industrial refrigeration machinery and motorised garden equipment in Castelfranco Veneto – Italy.


In 1986 the refrigeration division in M.A.C. Spa is sold and the garden division is transferred to a new company called Castelgarden Equipment always based in Castelfranco – Italy.


In 1995 the Italian company Castelgarden Equipment is acquired by a group of financial investors and renamed Castelgarden SpA.


In 2000 Castelgarden SpA, leading manufacturer in Europe of lawnmowers, merges with Stiga, Stiga Belos AB, Mountfield, one of the most well-known lawn mower brands in England, and Alpina Professional & Garden SpA, manufacturer of chainsaws and brushcutters also situated in Italy.  Together they formed Global Garden Products (GGP) with headquarters in Castelfranco Veneto. The GGP Group is specialized in the development, production and marketing of mainly lawn mowers, lawn riders as well as hand-held powered garden equipments.


In 2008 Castelgarden presented a completely new layout of its catalogue Green Passion as well as totally new product typologies, like the tiller range, and useful accessories for Castelgarden tractors and front mowers which extend their use to all seasons.


In 2009 important innovations were included in all product categories like the new XH range of tractors, the new 4 wheel drive system, the new continuously variable transmission (CVT) on XE models, new accessories for lawn tractors, the new X1 front mower model, the new RAC Quick Connection, the new Inox lawn mowers range, a new professional range of lawnmowers, new hand-held models.
